Buzzer Beater (2005) It is kinda hip, with a lot of hop-n-bop, but it is (most definitely) a sports anime series about basketball. The main characters are a bit off center and perhaps bizarre, but it does come across as being very fun and light hearted. I have to admit that I am kinda of charmed by this series story line.
