It was difficult to compose the synopsis for this show, because nothing really noteworthy happened during episode one. I kept waiting for something silly or odd to happen in order to put a little 'edge' on this show, but the credits ran before that occurred. About the only unusual touches were that 'Bel' has lost a foot (though that hardly seems to slow him down in action) and Ange is an orphan (and apparently there's a whole guild for Orphan adventurers). It all felt very lightweight; stuff just happens but there doesn't seem to be much of a theme or plot developing. OK, your daughter is as good an adventurer as they get; now what? Shouldn't there be some sort of hint of something intriguing about Ange's biological parents, or a mounting threat that an S-Rank adventurer will be needed to face? I bet the problem is largely because we have hardly gotten to know either Bel or Ange, and therefore can't get all that excited about their fortunes. They both seem too good to be true. It looks like there will be an extensive cast to this show, but if Bel and Ange are this shallow, what hope is there for any of them? And the humor--I think it was meant as humor--is far too weak to be worth watching for. So, no interesting plot, no jokes, and no interesting characters--I could have written a better story than this.
