As a teenager, Konoha Satou was entranced by isekai stories of love and magic. She was certain that someday she, too, would be summoned to another world, and wrote an extremely embarrassing goodbye letter that was to be opened by her parents if she disappeared. She wrote isekai stories herself, with a main character based upon herself and sharing her name. The fictional Konaha Magnolia, a nobleman's daughter, struggled with her little sister Iana 'a villainess to the core'. Ten years later, Konoha Satou learns that her mother has found the letter she wrote (and had completely forgotten about), which is so disconcerting that Konoha finds herself killed in an accident and reincarnated in the fictional world she envisioned--but she won't be playing the part of main character Konoha Magnolia.

Early on, I got the impression that while what we had here was yet another isekai series in which the protagonist finds themself a doomed villainess, a fairly complex background was being put together, so perhaps this one would be better than usual. Surely this embarrassing letter had been included for a good reason, for example. And what was meant by the bit where, after acquiring a magical book known as 'The Dark History' to kill her sister, Iana “Realizes that she's a Saint and awakens”? Was that the moment her fictional, written personality switched with that of Konoha Satou? There were a number of questions that I wanted answers to, but once the story itself got rolling things seemed to start falling apart. There were no answers forthcoming and the jokes were pretty weak as well. In fact rather than being any better than the usual villainess anime this one was suddenly seeming very average. It was confusing trying to keep track of whether Sol Nemophyra still intended to kill Iana or had taken a liking to her. And what was the deal with Iana/Konoha Satou's remark that “I never considered that the story was actually real for the characters”?
