Yuri awakens from a coma in a state of amnesia aboard the Interstellar Cruiser D.Q.O. He's told that LeVi, the ship's AI system, has detected a deadly 'Gnosia infectee'--a malignant being that has taken control of the mind and body of a human--aboard the ship but can't tell who it is. In exchange for LeVi not self-destructing the ship, the crew conduct a series of votes to determine who should be placed in 'cold sleep', one by one (LeVi will be able to tell when the Gnosia threat disappears). Yuri finds himself with the last four female crew members as the next vote is conducted.

GNOSIA
(One episode watched):
The first thing to catch my eye about this show was the crisp, sharp, highly detailed, high quality drawing style, which I appreciate. Another thing that occurred to me before long was that this show seemed to really be telling a serious and engaging story, which is something many anime cannot honestly claim. It sort of feels like a murder mystery, though nobody has been killed at the start. The only action in episode one comes while the ship is in warp, which renders humans defenseless (but why not just coast until the Gnosia has been identified?). We get to know Setsu, SQ, Racio and Jina, and, like them, can guess who is actually a Gnosia infectee. It seemed to me that Yuri would have been chosen long ago—Setsu, who briefs him on the situation, is the only one who trusts him at all. Something strange happens to main character Yuri near the end (“Now you have the power to transcend death!”) It looks like the characters have made all the wrong choices, but did everything just reset? Judging from the OP and ED sequences, there seems to be a wide cast of characters that we haven't met yet (maybe people who had already been put into cold sleep before Yuri awoke in this first scenario?). I don't fully understand what just happened, but this show strikes me as pretty cool, and I'll probably be watching it to the end.
