Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi
(One episode watched):
This struck me as a 4-koma type comedy--the sort that basically consists of a series of simple, modest jokes which are about as funny as the ones you read in the newspaper each day. The only serious laugh I experienced during episode one was when Cecilia reveals the 'miracle' she will perform if anyone asks for one. Basically, not all that funny and there are no signs of an interesting ongoing plot. Yes, Cecilia secretly loves 'Lawren', but both have little personality (at least at this point) so I couldn't care all that much what would come of it. Apparently Cecilia's only power is that she might recieve 'divine revelations', but none occur during episode one. There is nothing really objectionable about this show but I concluded that it is not worth 23 minutes of my time. Having little or no plot, what it really needed was for jokes like the miracle one to be the usual rather than the exception.
