Aizawa Azusa, who was 27, female and single, basically set aside love, fun, and everything else for the sake of her career as an office worker. In exchange, one day she collapsed and died while at work. But a Goddess takes pity on her and grants her wish that she be resurrected as a young and immortal witch in a peaceful region of an alternate reality. The nearest thing to a threat that exists there are bouncing slimes which are easy to kill and nevertheless result in the earning of a little money and a few strength points. Because the title seemed amusing, this was the first show I watched of a batch of first episodes of new series of the Spring season. But, as is often the case with anime about problems that could conceivably occur while playing MMORPGs, I found that while the premise is sort of a gag the remainder wasn't terribly funny or novel. Could someone write a credible twelve episode series about why the chicken crossed the road? Azusa is a nice girl who you can sort of sympathize with after she basically worked herself to death, but nothing here really surprised me or made me LOL. It's basically just another person-dies-and-is-resurrected-in-world-that-functions-like-a-video-game show, with a slight twist. I had a hard time thinking of things to say about it here. When Azusa lectured her new friend, Raika, about overworking, I thought for a moment that maybe this show would have a lesson to it rather than being just silly humor; but nothing much came of it. Basically, there was nothing really unique or intriguing about this show. I wish it had been better, because it didn't offend me in any way and any isekai series has potential. A girl who died such a pathetic death in her previous life deserves a better anime than this.
