I had thought that a show with the word 'Princess' in the title would likely be intended for little girls, and was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be another video game-like fantasy anime. But maybe I shouldn't have been encouraged, because I quickly got the impression that while this show was relying heavily on comedy, it wasn't all that funny. Without much humor, one can only wonder what the deal is with main male character, Yuuki, who is virtually brain-dead. How did he wind up with amnesia? Could this be a sequel to a previous anime (ANN makes no mention of such a thing)? No answers are forthcoming. As it is, he can barely speak and hardly counts as a character at all. Maybe the idea was that he would seem like such a blank that the viewer would imagine himself in his place, with a cute girl assigned to serve him and address him as 'Master'. Nobody is particularly intelligent in this show, which was apparently meant as a joke. This show struck me as very weak; I was glad when it was over. Perhaps, seeing as it was animated by 'CygamesPictures', it is just a lengthy ad for a video game. No interesting plot seemed to be coming together and it wasn't worth watching just for the humor. The makers were definitely counting on the humor to carry it forward, but unless I am much more difficult to make laugh than the average person, it wasn't really there.
