This is a hard series to find on the cheap (I had to go to ebay), but I did find it ... but now I regret spending the money to add this title to my collection. ||||||||

Don't Leave Me Alone, Daisy" shows that, yes, even nerds can get lucky. The show follows your basic romantic comedy, boy meets girl, boy follows girl and makes her like him, boy is annoying, girl gives in. Well, I guess thats your basic romantic comedy if said boy has been living in a bomb shelter all his life. Techno, the lead male, is best described as a rash that never leaves. Man, he got on my nerves. Hitomi, or "Daisy", is only there to add to the rash and is just as annoying. Thinking what she wants to say, saying what she isn't thinking. The supporting cast, however, was excellent! X Yamakawa is a classmate with Techno and Daisy and is obsessed with having at least one friend, and while looking for one, somehow manages to shame his family so his mother and brother come after him to kill him. And let's not forget the teacher, Ms. Rarako who only wears a pink bikini and whose catch phrase is, "It's my first time. Did I do something wrong?". Absolutely hilarious. Speaking of hilarious, the whole series is downright funny. Even Techno and Daisy are funny, and I don't even like their characters! The character design wasn't anything to really brag about, but still pretty to look at. The music was ok (to be honest, I don't remember any background music), but the opening and ending were extremely good. A must listen, especially the opening. The voice acting was quite remarkable too, I must say. Like most animated shows fail to do, "Don't Leave me Alone, Daisy" actually has an ending. A good one, at that too. I even began to like Techno and Daisy in the last episode of this disc. Techno finally got a clue (too bad it wasn't a whole one) and everyone is happy, even me. A very good show that everyone should bother to check out. Not necessarily buy, but at least see. 1-8-02 Last updated Tuesday, January 08 2002. Created Tuesday, January 08 2002. |
