Earth is endangered by the O'bli, which are "interdimensional distortions in time-space which are invading us". Earth's defense is the Fifth Force, which secretly operates from the impressive new Goryoukan Academy. Some of the academy's student body are actually girls with an ability to sense distortions in the fifth dimension and deal with them. Altair Torte is one team of five such girls, each of them recent recruits and therefore relatively inexperienced and feeling a need to prove themselves capable.

(One episode watched):

I may have gone too far with the synopsis, because while there are hints that the girls of Altair Torte are in a competitive environment and will have to earn some respect for themselves, it wasn't emphasized all that much and without it I don't see where this show will be able to create interest. To it's credit, Schoolgirl Strikers doesn't seem to rely on fanservice (though there was a shower scene), and the characters have some personality. But nothing about this show intrigued me all that much. The O'bli didn't exactly seem scary or threatening--in fact, when the first one appeared it seemed almost laughable and made me think that this was going to be primarily a comedy. Perhaps the greatest weakness of the show was that nothing about it really stood out from the countless anime with similar plots. There are the usual exotic and heavy weaponry, colorful costumes, and bizarre opponents, but no questions that I wanted answers to occurred to me as the episode progressed. The only conceivable way I can see this show being a winner is if we get to know the five girls well, they have interesting and likeable personalities, and some clear-cut and plausible goal which they need to accomplish is revealed to us. But I wasn't sensing that in episode one, and therefore declined to watch any more. Schoolgirl Strikers wasn't as infantile and shallow as I had initially suspected might be the case, but it wasn't particularly brilliant either.
