I think the thing I worried about most is that we'd have this "girl power, girl boss" thing where these mostly 120 pound (or less), slender women would beat up 200+ pound, muscular men. Thankfully, this didn't happen. We are shown an incident where the C.A.T. team storms a building, takes out a terrorist group, and disarms a bomb. However, since there's no physical combat, one can accept that some highly trained girls with guns and grenades could defeat some punk terrorists. For the actual mission, the team are shown to use their brains. The male military commander isn't dumb and he does test the girls for his own peace of mind. The various government representatives have understandable concerns about an all-female, anti-terrorist, private military force. But throughout it all, we never get the dreaded "girl boss" moment. The only thing that comes close is when two of the girls go on a (confusing) side mission to Paris. Even here, I never got that eye-rolling, girl boss vibe like I get in a lot of modern, Hollywood productions. As such, I can recommend giving this a "Rent" review. Further, I now understand the various memes and clips I've seen around this OVA. Last updated Wednesday, May 28 2025. Created Wednesday, May 28 2025. |
The plot is an all female, anti-terrorist called Counterattack Terrorism (C.A.T.) are assigned to a guard mission to a very remote resort in Switzerland, where various world leaders will meet to discuss the economic problems with the reunification of East and West Germany. C.A.T. members primarily pose as maids, though the leadership wear nice dresses and do errands for the delegates. However, despite their excellent security, C.A.T. leader Mariko "Marie Rose" Rosebank feels something bad will happen.||||||||
