Ahh, another installment of xxxHolic. I love the whole xxxHolic line so I was sure I'd enjoy this one as well. As expected, it was a good one with a few interesting surprises. Art, Animation & Character Designs Artwork is right on par with other installments of xxxHolic.... darkish, pointy and oddly distorted. As mentioned in other xxxHolic reviews, this style of animation you'll have to get use to and even then, it's a hit or miss. Most our loved characters make an appearance as well as a few from the "alternate realms", if you will. You'll have to watch it to understand what I'm referring to. All in all, good charcter designs, art and animation. Music The music here is surprisingly good. I found myself actually looking around for the soundtrack... if any. It almost reminded me "Tsubasa Chronicles", in the way how it was dramatic and very instrumental. The OP was a lot like previous installments of xxxHolic, not bad. The ED wasn't a pop-like piece that wasn't too bad itself. Series and Episode Story As expected of xxxHolic, the story was not excellent but good and satisfying. I actually love the whole xxxHolic line and characters. Although the plot wasn't anything amazing, it was nevertheless enjoyable and made you appreciate the whole franchise more so. As you watch it nearing the end, there's some interesting revelations that might catch a few people with excitement. At least, it did me since I thoroughly love the "other" series.
