Ran is a bright and energetic first-grader in junior high school who possesses supernatual abilities. Together with Midori (her friend who also has supernatural powers) and Rui, the threesome are constantly embroiled in mysterious circumstances. Ran is troubled by her powers because it seems to spark off the ill intentions of people in contact with her. However, with the support of her family and peers, Ran learns to deal with her 'other' side and accepts who she is. The threesome also learn how to team up as a whole and solve these mysterious events.

Telepathy Shoujo Ran
(Three episodes watched):
Although the opening episode seemed to go relatively quickly (i.e, I didn't feel distinctly bored), I also felt that it hadn't told me nearly as much as it could have. It seemed kind of shallow, maybe intended for children. Though Ran and Midori don't exactly hit it off on their first meeting, it was obvious that they'd be good friends before long. Something about the character designs of this show reminded me of old American cartoons like Scooby-Doo. But whereas that team would debunk seemingly supernatural events, I'll bet this one will freely employ them.
This show seems disappointing. Emotions are shallow and simplistic. And why didn't the girl's opponent finish them off when they were helpless? Not very funny, or plausible, or stylish ("cool"); what is there left?
