Long time reviewer Jan-chan has passed away

I was contacted recently and was sad to learn that Jan-Chan passed away. He was one of the most prolific reviewers on the site with nearly 600 series reviewed. The rest of the notice is included below:

Jan-Chan was one of those who welcomed me to Mikomi and convinced me that this would be a good place to do my anime reviewing.

Geez, quite a loss for our humble site.

I haven't been on a while and I find this out. Jan-Chan was one of the reviewers helped me a bit along when I first started here years ago. It really is such a loss. R.I.P. Jan-Chan.

I haven't surfed the site in a while (I usually come on specific missions, such as to see what the folks here are interested in or to check one of my old reviews), but after chatting a bit with Rebecca on Twitter, I thought I'd surf.

Man, I'm sorry to hear about Jan-Chan's death. I didn't see a cause of death on his tribute page.

I remember when Jan-Chan joined and how prolific he was when it came to anime reviews. At the time, I think I had the most reviews out here, but his writing prowess insured that it didn't take him all that long to take the top dog spot. It was most impressive to see, especially since it meant more reviews would be out here for others and me to read.
