Well, except for One Punch Man, I think Fall 2015 was yet another pretty mediocre season for anime. In the end I only watched four shows (not counting shorts) to their conclusion: One Punch Man, Ace of the Diamond (which has been running for something like two years now), The Perfect Insider (which was far from perfect), and YuruYuri San Hai (or, more accurately, I will watch this one to the end when the fansubs finally arrive).

My computer is fixed. Apparently the virus actually came from a bogus offer of a program that would speed up the operation of the computer, which is painfully slow at times. It didn't help that in the process of purging the virus, a program I need to convert fansubs to DVD mode was deleted.

As you can see, I have created two new Keywords, 'Maid Theme' and 'Zombies'. I wish it were possible to be more specific about where these keywords should be placed on the create-a-page screen--so that 'Zombies' and 'Vampires' were both in 'Characters and their abilities', for example.

Thanks for the fix. The only other modification I can think of is that we have we have three 'theme' keywords--Maid Theme, Idol Theme and Otaku Theme. Otaku is in 'Story Elements and Locations' while the other two are in 'Keywords'. I would think that all three ought to be in the same category, but I'm not sure which is most appropriate.

Yeah, my frontend skills are super super rusty, to the point I'd have to nearly start from scratch if I were to modernize the site.

A theme engine is used for layout and I could push those up somewhere if you wanted to give a go, but there's no getting past the fact that the way it works is positively ancient.

For years I've been using Tokyo Tokoshan as my main source of fansub downloads, but recently my favorite source, Deadfish, stopped placing it's work there. I finally went searching and found another website, Anime Tosho Beta, which has everything I want--and more. It seems to carry both Deadfish and Baked Fish, and some minor lines as well. I need mp4 fansubs, because I have a problem with my software which keeps me from converting MKV fansubs into DVD mode. I'm downloading a ton of episodes, some first episodes of Fall 2016 stuff, and some episodes that I was missing from anime of previous seasons, For example, I found the remainder of Sakamoto desu there.

I still have to finish Yuri!!! on Ice and "Kiss Him, Not Me" (which incredibly isn't in the database yet).

Also hii! It's been a while!

I plan to start watching up Urusei Yatsura after my week-long break from work wraps up. Managed to snag up the whole series and whatever was released stateside for it in an E-Bay auction back in December.

Yeah, this site is kind of turning into a monument to the Web That Was. My own fandoms are all on Tumblr these days.

My experience has been that if watching an anime reaches the point where it feels more like an ordeal than a source of enjoyment, it's time to stop.

With my work schedule hectic as it is during the week, I often get a 1-2 day break from watching the series hence preventing me from getting too taxed from seeing the show for as long as it is.

I remember the time I watched episodes of 14 different anime in one day. I would watch anything back then, even the thoroughly mediocre shows (and probably give them glowing reviews!).

I still get time to marathon through some anime on and off. However, that is becoming increasingly difficult to find time for with real life becoming greater focus in my life.

I have noticed something: When I type 'ID-0' into 'Search Titles' and perform the search, you would think that ID-0 would be the first title to appear, since it is an exact match. But instead I get plenty of other titles, but not ID-0. This may be because (if I remember correctly) this page was originally a duplicate of Renai Boukun which I converted into a page for ID-0.

I'm pretty sure the rename isn't to blame... the search engine seems to be doing something wrong though as it matches literally every series. =D

Ah yeah, it was splitting on the hyphen and that was resulting in every title matching and I had no special case to make exact matches bubble to the top. I've fixed the latter part. While all titles now match, ID-0 is also now the first result.

Perhaps a good Keyword would be 'Virtual Reality' for shows which take place entirely or in part there. 'Otaku Theme' is usually appropriate but not all shows that fall into that category involve VR. 'Video Game Inspired', as I understand it, means anime which were originally video games then became TV/internet shows.

It seems that around this time in an anime season, adding to reviews becomes more difficult because I have already mentioned everything novel about the show, and I can't give away too much about how it will end. Not many new thoughts are coming to mind.

Well, it looks like of 31 new Summer series that I watched the first episode of, I will also watch episode two of 16. usually around 1/3 of a new season's shows are dropped after one episode, another 1/3 are dropped at a later point, and about 1/3 are watched to the end.

For anyone that typically get their anime news off ANN, the site suffered from a pretty nasty hack on its site Monday. They have temporarily set up their site to run at http://www.animenewsnetwork.cc while they try restoring the original site.
