As early as episode two of the very first season, Roxy tells Rudeus about the terrifying 'Superd' race and the 'LaPlace War' that was waged against them. We will hear a good deal more about them later. She also tells him about the land of Ranoa across the mountains to the north, which is where she attended the Ranoa Magical Academy. That place will be back as well.
