Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai - : There's No Way I'd Fall in Love with My Little Sister

Comparing Version 4 to Version 5:

Comments:
Devil Doll:
Disappointing. The music is horrible, and Kirino is a bitchy weirdo (slapping her brother out of sleep and making him play this eroge at 3 o'clock in the morning - what about school on the next day?). Not to mention these "sisters" are awfully young for the R-18 version to even be legal. But neither did Kyousuke question that, nor did he suggest Kirino to just get a hobby (or even a boyfriend) in real life which I'd consider his plausible advice (after all, Kirino asked him what she should do as she's aware of being addicted - she even considered telling her parents everything)
At least the boy didn't take the R-18 version as his "homework" (so they won't let him be suspected to be the family otaku in case his mother checks the laptop while he's at school - his behavior during certain scenes of episode 1 was quite suspicious), indicating that embarrassing misunderstandings aren't the primary goal of this story. So I'll give it at least one more episode to find out where this is going.

Stretch:
The one thing which I thought most stood out about episode one was how amazingly dull it was. Is this really a comedy? There were no major laughs for me at all, and very few minor ones, either. I wondered if the show might be intended as a drama, but there was little sign of that either. Basically, a guy learns that his sister has an obsession with Eroge about little sister/big brother romances--and that's about it. The revelation is neither played for major laughs nor seems indicative of a building problem which will need to be solved. To clarify, this didn't seem a bad show, or a boring one, just one that was completely neutral. It had hardly any virtue either, and just left me wondering what was going on. At least the basic premise piques my interest, even if I have little idea where it is going. So, I'll probably continue to watch, though I pray that the quality will improve significantly.
