Synopsis
In spite of Touji's wish that they "start over", Momo decides that she'll be satisfied to be Kairi's "Second Best" lover, since he still has feelings for Misao. Shocking photos of a scantily-clad Sae appear in an "indecent" magazine, leading to her being called before the teachers to explain. She comes up with an excuse which they buy. Momo and Kairi suspect Ryo had something to do with the photos, and go to see him--they find Touji is doing the same. The three of them come upon Sae presenting her precious Ryo with an expensive gift. Momo warns her that Ryo will "use her then throw her away", but she refuses to believe her and declares that she's in love with him and has broken up with Touji. Later, Kairi proposes that Momo and himself take their trip to the beach--he promises not to try anything "until you're my one and only love". But at school she overhears him talking to Misao and saying that summer vacation will suck because he'll be away from her. The thought occurs to Momo that maybe being Kairi's "second best" isn't really good enough after all. Kairi and Momo take part-time jobs at a convenience store in order to both be together and earn money for their trip. One day Sae walks in and boasts that she's on the way to a photo shoot Ryo has arranged for her--she thinks it's to promote a new game. But on their way home, Momo and Kairi see Sae being filmed, and Kairi recognizes the "director". "This is bad!" he exclaims. "There's no way that's a game promotion video"...

I was glad to see Sae would be back in this episode--her bitchy, arrogant personality is more fun (perhaps even more believable) than Momo. That precious personality of hers undergoes quite a change in this episode--will she still be the the person I've gotten used to in the future? I was hoping she'd admit her blackmail scheme, since she has done all sorts of things that would be equally incriminating in regards to herself, but no luck there. Either be a bitch or make a poignant, believable turnaround, Sae!
