| Shizuka hopes her relationship with Ryo is finally growing, except Akane gets sick. While lying in bed she recalls how Ryo has always loyally taken care of her, and has a frightening dream of him walking away from her with Shizuka and Ojo. At school Ryo is worrying about his sister, and Miki's snide suggestion that he may have caused the problem himself certainly doesn't help. It really isn't much but a cold, but Ryo becomes "delusional and crazy" and has irrational daydreams that Akane is dying... | |

| Basically you learn that Akane is REALLY important to Ryo. It also shows that Akane is jealous of all the other girls, including Miki for some reason. (If you aren't up to date, Miki is the ONLY one not directly involved with Ryo) Stretch: A partly touching and partly silly episode that focuses on the feelings of siblings Ryo and Akane for one another, rather than on Ryo and Shizuka. I'd read a review which suggested Ryo might be much more interested in his sister than he should be (incest), but personally I don't see anything wrong. In more than one anime series I've noticed a remarkable closeness between Japanese siblings that seems somehow unnatural to a modern-day American. | |
