| After making her dramatic entrance, Shizuka fits Ryo with a pair of fake rabbit ears which she says will explode if he tries to remove them without listening to her story. She shows a VCR tape which explains the RTP program, and describes taking part as Ryo's "duty as a citizen". Failing to comply would be a ticket to prison. "Due to the sensitivity of the issue" she says, "they want to try it out"--apparently the two of them are the first couple to be matched up. She points out her virtues as "a super flower of Japanese womanhood", which would surely make her an excellent choice for a wife, and even hints at changing the laws which currently categorize them as too young to marry. Ryo will have none of it--but Shizuka finds his stubborness attractive! He exhausts himself yelling at her and ordering her to get out, and finally decides he'll have to physically remove her... | |

| Stretch 5/12/05: Shizuka expects Ryo to marry her, and is so determined that trying to reason with her is like beating your head against a stone wall. She cannot be discouraged, will not give up--almost like a beautiful terminator that has come to love Ryo rather than kill him. Hilarious! 10/3/06: I thought I'd save a few images to add to this episode review, but found so many that I had a hard time narrowing them down to just six--it reminded me of just how wacky this show is, with it's plentiful use of SD mode. Notice how the fansubbers have cleverly color-coded the subtitles to match the hair color of the girl who is speaking--nice work! | |
