Synopsis
Kurumi has defeated Mikhail, but now sports large black wings and a glassy, soul-less stare from her glowing red eyes. The technicians say only demonkind wave readings are detected from her. "This is the worst possible situation", Walski remarks. SPOILER: Don't read this if you haven't already watched the episode. Kurumi fires an energy blast at Nakahito, injuring him--he would've been killed if Saki and Karinka hadn't saved him at the last moment. In response to Walski and the Academy trying to focus some sort of artificial gravity on her, Kurumi encloses herself in a black sphere, takes off, and launches a devastating attack on the floating base. Nakahito, Saki and Karinka are saved from being crushed by falling debris by Kamihito, who suddenly appears. The damaged Academy base crashlands. Ayanokoji argues that this is all because of the Academy forcing Kurumi to fight other angels, and admits he did seal demon power in the Mark II Angel Heart. "Steel Angels have souls, just as we do!" he declares. He theorises that the Angel element must have "rejected it's host", thus allowing the demon element to take over. Kurumi is drained for now, but steadily regenerating. The doctors decide they have no choice but to use every ounce of energy available to completely destroy her. Saki and karinka protest, hoping that "sis" will return to normal on her own. Kurumi's regeneration speeds up.
