Synopsis
Dr. Amagi orders Kichijoji and Koganei to take the airplane into a thick cloud which contains the awesome floating fortress of the Academy. Kurumi, Saki (carrying Amagi) and Karinka leap fearlessly onto it. In short order, they find the missing Nakahito--but all is not as it seems... SPOILER: Don't read this unless you've already seen the episode. The image of Nakahito is in fact an illusion, and the four find themselves trapped. Dr. Amagi is taken to Dr. Walski, who claims that in the distant future a utopia is threatened by the "demonkind". A first-class mystic is needed to maximise the power of angel hearts, but in the future mysticism is a near-forgotten art. Therefore, the Academy has time-travelled back to find a suitable mystic--Nakahito. Walski says Dr. Ayanokoji created the Angel Heart Mark II by sealing both angel and demon power within it. Dr. Amagi is taken to the still unconscious Ayanokoji and allowed to stay with him. Kurumi escapes and resumes the search for Nakahito. Mikhail kisses Nakahito and transforms into an adult, female Angel himself (or should I say HERself...).

Steel Angel Kurumi is definitely getting weird, but I'm still enjoying it. Mikhail's transformation kind of threw me for a loop. With the tie-in to the future, the setting of this series back in the 'twenties makes sense. Also, apparently Drs. Brandow and Walski are two seperate charachters--I had thought Brandow was just Walski in disguise.
