Synopsis
SPOILER: Dr. Walski wonders how long Dr. Ayanokoji will remain unconscious, perhaps even until the "Angel of Terror descends". Nakahito awakens at the Academy's base, where the strange boy who abducted him introduces himself as Mikhail. Mikhail tries to convince Nakahito that Dr. Ayanokoji is the real villain, supposedly because the Angel Heart Mark II which he created for Kurumi contains the powers of "demons". He says the Academy needs Nakahito's help, and it will be in Kurumi's best interests as well--otherwise the entire world may be destroyed. But Nakahito refuses to believe that Kurumi is a "made thing" that is "pretending to be human". Mikhail reports to Dr. Walski that Nakahito may not cooperate. Meanwhile, Kurumi, Saki and Karinka vow to rescue Nakahito. After Dr. Amagi telephones a report to the general, Kichijoji and Koganei appear (in uniform) and the six of them take off in an airplane.
Comments
It's hard to take Mikhail's spin on the angel story seriously, since he refuses to recognize Kurumi as an individual and is linked to the sinister Dr. Walski. If his account had been presented in a more believable way, we might just have had an intriguing mystery on our hands. Several reviews I've read mentioned the overwhelming "cuteness" of Kurumi and the others becoming inappropriate to the increasingly serious tone of the plot. I'm anxious to see how well the series wraps up on the final DVD.
