| Kathleen firmly believes that eight years ago Umibozu murdered her original father, and ever since then has been trained by her adopted father, "Dandy Jack" to kill him in revenge. However, Umibozu explains that the actual killer was none other than Jack himself, who in fact seeks revenge for the criminal organization he once led, but which Umibozu demolished. Though seriously injured, Umibozu slips away to deal with Dandy Jack. He goes to the likely supplier of a rocket Jack used, and gets his address. Jack was expecting this, however, and comes to Ryo's place to pick up Kathleen. Despite Kaori's urging that they do something to stop her, Ryo insists that "Nothing will be over until we correct Kathleen's misunderstanding". They must let Umibozu, Dandy Jack and Kathleen face off, he says, and bet everything on what Kathleen does... |
| The second half of this two-parter is pretty serious, with little or no comedy. That being said, the climactic scene gave me an idea: since the gimmick of guns being shot out of people's hands (and it happens more than once here) has become sort of a City Hunter cliche, why not take it and run with it? That is, have it happen so many times under such increasingly ludicrous circumstances, that it becomes hilariously funny? Just an idea... Anyway, my grade: B- |
