Synopsis
(Let's Begin After It Begins) Ah, it is time for Kei's inlaws to visit. Mizuho's mom Hatsuho and brat younger sister Maho drop in for a visit to see about Mizuho's choice in husbands. While Hatsuto is approving (to much so for Mizuho's comfort), Maho is having nothing to do with this. She feels her older sister deserves someone better than Kei and she's going to do everything she can to break them up. Meanwhile, Hyosuke has withdrawn from the group. When Kei goes to see him, Hyosuke confesses that he and Kaede slept together back when they were all at the beach. He doesn't really know how to deal with this since his goals in life are to move to Tokyo, go to college, and become a politician. Kaede will most likely never leave their small town and so Hyosuke doesn't want to be in a relationship with her that could tie him down. Kei and Mizuho come to the rescue of this blooming romance and rescue it by arranging a meeting between Hyosuke and Kaede. Kaede tells Hyosuke that she will go where ever Hyosuke goes because she will be happy to be by his side. This is enough to ease his fears and thus begins a new romance.

(AstroNerdBoy -- 03/08/2003) Yikes! Maho is so much like Skuld from Oh My Goddess (the manga in particular) only MUCH worse. Ugh! She couldn't have been more annoying if she tried! This isn't the first anime/manga where there's a bratty younger sister who feels they know better than their older sister on whom said sister should be with. On the positive side, I really liked the exploration of Hyosuke and Kaede in the aftermath of both having slept together. The feelings expressed by both were so real and hit home with me. In addition, I liked how after becoming a couple, there wasn't this apparent rush to jump back in the sack. Now was a time for the two of them to get to know each other. With Kei and Mizuho having managed to ensure the pair would get together, Kei was able to finally decide that maybe he was finally ready to progress forward with his relationship with Mizuho. [2007-09-29, Devil Doll:] And right when I thought it couldn't get any worse they added Urd and Skuld to this show. Well, at least Kei had a good performance this time, both for counseling his buddy and for finally speaking out the word to his wife. And Hyosuke grew beyond the stupid macho cliché. So perhaps all is not lost.
