At night, Rakka is asking herself even more questions [image4]; her joint secret with Nemu [image5] won't actually answer much of these. And like others have done before, she is looking for the "Beginning of the World". | |

Rakka meeting Sumika is a nice idea of comparing different models of "birth" and "life" right at the beginning of this episode. And Sumika tells Rakka those books didn't answer any of the questions they share. Rakka learns from Nemu that there are other Haibane living in Gur There is only one little scene with Kuu [image6] this time (I am not sure whether there can be any reasonable English translation for "aisatsu" here without losing its precious ambiguity), but... the real story is about to begin now. - - - - - - - - - - | |
