As part of their program to convince the alien that humans can be good, Kadode and Ontan rescue a child left in an overheated car--they use another alien device which reminds Kadode of Isobeyan's 'Blaster Stick', which could convert negative emotions into energy. Later, Ontan is angry when a band she likes falls into a scandal just when she had finally acquired tickets to go see them. "Don't expect anything good from anyone" a surprisingly cynical Kadode says. Later, Kadode uses (or misuses) the new device to cause a train to derail; she says she didn't intend that to happen. She feels guilty and vows she will 'never fail again', whatever that means. Kadode has gone from trying to do good deeds to a vigilante. She goes to a hospital where a corrupt politician is being treated, and uses the device as a weapon to kill him(!). She sabotages the concert that Ontan had tickets to. She threatens numerous people and forces them to tell her about 'the most terrible person' they know of. She gets into a fight with her mother who noticed she had left home late at night. The other girls at school have come to suspect that Kadode is behind the derailment. She shows them what she can do and warns them to keep quiet and not interfere as she attempts to 'make the world a better place'. Ontan walks in and sees what her friend has become. She reminds Kadode that she had promised Isobeyan (the alien) that she wouldn't misuse the device. Kadode insists she hasn't, and says "I'll do anything I can to make the world revolve around you". She also says "Helping people isn't enough. I have to destroy the bad guys, one by one". They get into an argument and Ontan slaps Kadode. They tussle and Kadode throws away the alien device--it looks like they are no longer friends. At school Ontan is told that Kadode has transfered. Isobeyan wants to accompany her as she goes to Kadode's house, but she vows that she will solve her own problems from now on. Ontan finds that Kadode has cut her hair back drastically. She asks her to return to school, but Kadode seems to have lost it--she doesn't believe Isobeyan is real anymore. She asks Ontan to kill her, and when she won't she jumps off a high balcony. But something strange happens and Ontan finds herself back in the present day, beneath the mothership and holding the alien device she found. "Wasn't I just talking to someone?" she asks herself.
