'Target H-2', the shot-down alien craft, is lifted by helicopter to Yokota base. But (if I understood correctly), it, too, seems to have been quickly inspected and stripped by the Americans before the Japanese reached the site. At Santili Elements Service (SES) public relations person Sumaru gives a little tour to a roving reporter (they were once classmates at high school). She says work is underway to prepare twenty of the improved Fujin-7 weapons systems for service 'in the near future'. He suspects the alien bodies from the small craft crash are at SES and it is trying to learn from their technology and use it. Ontan gives a strange lecture to the other girls about how she has been searching for a 'higher state of being' and blames the 'capitalist war economy' for all the world's problems. Kiho is roaming about with Kahiruimaki but senses that something is troubling him. He says he witnessed the crash of the small alien ship and saw one alien flee from the wreck uninjured. He fears the aliens may already be among us and that a massive government coverup is underway. She wishes he would just pay some attention to her. They get into an argument and she declares that “I guess we were just not meant to get along”. She meets the other girls but Ontan harasses her as usual, which makes Kiho cry. Kahiruimaki sends Kiho a text message in which he promises to return to her someday once he has 'become a man'. She cheers up after spending some time with her old friends. When Kadode learns that her mother will be away on Christmas Eve, she proposes that the girls hold a party at her place. The Fujin systems shoot down another small alien ship. We meet the 'head of the occult research institute at Surome University', who is heading out from his apartment to meet a woman who has supposedly encountered an 'extraterrestrial' years ago. After he leaves a black-haired teenager uses some strange device to instantly pick the lock of his apartment and enter. When the owner returns unexpectedly, this person (an alien) slips away—he may be able to become invisible. He helps some kids build a snowman using an 'anti-gravity device' (and uses the term 'Dedede'). He then comes across Kadode pulling Ontan through the snow in a sleeping bag.
