Synopsis
After being hit by a truck, Rizel awakens in the hospital. She is fine, but Iwaki is still in a coma. He dreams of a school field trip aboard a train, the episode at the Kissing Rocks, and of himself (as a child) saving Rizel from getting hit by another truck. She says it wasn't a dream, and ever since that incident (which seems to have put a halt to her growth) she had looked forward to meeting him again. As he dreams, Iwaki wonders what it was that made him like older girls anyway...

As was the case with Final Approach, it turns out that pairing a supposedly ideal husband and wife was more than just an absurd government program after all. The moment when Iwaki remembered Rizel, and made his "dash", was brilliant. I seldom see a scene where every element comes together so perfectly. Especially not in a show which is widely regarded as cheap and tawdry!
