In episode 20 the 86ers basically take an episode long break during their critically important mission, which defies all military logic. Something about the Legion has been decieved by feints elsewhere. But it won't remain fooled forever and the mission needs to be completed ASAP. We do get some artful images (like a dead butterfly being devoured by ants). The five main characters do a good deal of talking about things like Shin's state of mind, but I found their discussions to be more confusing than enlightening. Like, Shin has no goal to his life--yet he fights ferociously and effectively against the Legion? Let's get on with the main story.
