Shin and the others have apparently been serving as test pilots at a facility where new mecha are developed, but as a major Legion offensive looms they are reassigned to a special unit led by Wenzel. We learn some more about Frederica's part in the downfall of the monarchy, and her 'knight', a soldier who Shin reminds her of and who may now be a zombie mecha pilot with the Legion. As is typical with this show it was difficult to discern what was really important to the plot and what wasn't, but the story remains engaging.
