Okay, here's where the plot really starts to come together. One of the reasons I gave up on Tenchi Universe the first time I tried to watch it was because I assumed that the whole angle having to do with Tenchi and his Grandfather being descendants of the Juraiian Royal house had been discarded altogether, but I see now that that isn't so. Grandpa's original name is Yosho, just as in the OVAs, which makes whoever has seized power on Jurai an imposter. Having done a little snooping around, I suspect that this, too, will be a character from the OVA series, but I won't give you the name just yet (in case anybody hasn't guessed).
