Synopsis
After hearing no word from Ruri following their break up, Kyousuke is shocked to learn from Sena that Ruri has transferred schools, later even finding her house completely vacated. Troubled by this, Kyousuke comes to Kirino, who gives him his own life counseling and decides to help him search for her in a hot spring town.

Devil Doll: I was very hesitant of watching this episode after the cliffhanger, expecting a longer phase of Kyousuke suffering embedded into filler episodes. I couldn't have been more wrong though: This was the best episode of the whole franchise for me, finally having both lead girls speak their mind in an epic showdown. I also liked how they resolved the cliffhanger during the pre-OP section, which I consider more powerful than explicitly showing how it actually happened. Notes: Kyousuke disregarded Manami as counselor and chose Kirino instead! And the blonde bitch grew with the challenge, showing her best performance in 24 episodes so far. Kirino gave Kyousuke such a great opportunity (saying she doesn't want to see her brother cry even more than hating him being in a relationship); had Kyousuke simply taken this lead and chosen Kuroneko the story would be over. But instead, he chose being a siscon, and even dreaming of a "happy triangle" in the future (which wouldn't ever happen in a thousand years). I consider this episode the crucial point in the siblings' relation: Both have confessed that they'd hate the other to date anyone; both have confirmed they'd endure it nonetheless in order to make the other sibling happy. So there's two paths from here: One leads into both siblings growing as characters and support each other in finding happiness with a partner, the other one leads down the incest road. Which ending would you bet on, given the recent releases in anime?
