Devil Doll: A different story. Very unlike what I was expecting, basically because that's a completely different set of characters whom we barely learn anything about. Saori's development per se was plausible but I don't like the way it way embedded into the series. Plus Saori without her glasses is looking way too similar to Ayase; knowing how Kyousuke is adoring Ayase despite her complicated character this opens the path for him to fall for Saori, making this series more of a harem scenario. While this episode gave Saori more depth and explained how she became the meddler and group-builder she is, I didn't have the need for such an explanation in her case - it could simply have been her character trait from the beginning (like Kaori). I would rather ask for such a flashback story in the case of Kirino, helping me understand how she became such a bitch, as she's the female lead of this series; episode 1 half-heartedly tried to offer such a thing in the form of Kyousuke's dream. Stretch: It was kind of fun to learn about Saori and her past; during season one it seemed that she got much less development than the other characters. What was unclear was whether her striving to catch up to the accomplishments of her sister was a good idea or not.
