Devil Doll: More cute than funny. This signature episode for the glasses girl gave me a lot of Lamune vibes, with these childhood friends being treated as a married couple by everyone and even aggressively being paired off by Manami's grandfather (whose weird jokes were a bit over the top). Most notably, almost no Kirino in this episode, so it had to be good almost automatically. And now that we have three interesting girls in this show (Saori, Ayase, Manami), Kirino starts longing for her brother... not that she would admit these feelings to even herself. Stretch: Episode six largely left Kirino behind and focused on Kyousuke and longtime friend Tamura. That was amusing, though I wonder why both the supposed main character and otaku theme were dispensed with. What bugs me is Kirino displaying a sort of anger at her brother for spending time with another girl--don't tell me I'm supposed to believe that some sort of healthy affection is growing out of all her fury.
