Synopsis
Kirino's father learns of her hobby and becomes angry at her. Kirino becomes upset that her hobby has been called "worthless" and runs off, prompting Kyousuke to catch up with her. After seeing Kirino show no desire to give up a part of her life, Kyousuke decides to actively support Kirino.

Devil Doll: Too early. The original subject is practically removed from the show now. The story could well be over at this point, and I do root for the "lap pillow" girl to find happiness with Kyousuke. Unfortunately we all know this isn't going to happen, and if we had any doubt about this then Kirino's final smile would be telling enough. So the one positive aspect of this episode remains their father staying surprisingly calm while his son acted almost like a lunatic. Like Stretch I don't understand why he would go as far as he did for saving this little bitch; I'd have preferred this episode to occur much later in the series, i. e. after a better chemistry between the siblings had been created over time. Stretch: Episode three didn't make much sense at all. (Spoiler): Kyousuke does everything he can to convince his father to tolerate Kirino's strange hobby--even taking blame for something that wasn't his fault--when Kirino just punched him that afternoon, and has yet to offer the slightest thanks for his trouble? Kyousuke even threatens to beat the crap out of father for her sake? This felt like wishful thinking, as if this series had been made to appeal to otaku because it carried the message of 'wouldn't it be great if your siblings were like this'? We did get a brief meeting with Kirino's new friends (sort of), though we didn't learn much about them.
