And the 'revelation' at the end of episode 19 is played to us as a horrific thing which will shatter Yuki's trust for Yuno, but really, what difference would it make? (Spoiler)Instead of a girl with a murderous dual personality, Yuno becomes a girl who has a murderous dual personality and has been operating under a false name. So what? She can kill people at will, but using a fake name is a no-no? It's not like she and Yuki had been friends since childhood, and she had been willingly decieving him all along. And why didn't she just execute eleventh when she had the chance, instead of arguing with him? And, is eighth even human? She seems like an inflated balloon. I guess it's just the weirdness of this show that keeps me coming back, because everything else is so damn sloppy. This is a show which feels like the scriptwriter completed one hasty rough draft, then somehow it was decided that this was good enough and production went ahead. Mirai Nikki is one of those shows which I seriously think would have been significantly improved if I, a complete amateur, had been offered a chance to do a rewrite. Perhaps the notion of people being able to get a glimpse of the near future, and use it as they try to outsmart each other, is novel enough that I want to see how it works out, even if it could have been done much better than it was.
