| I was kind of surprised that Duke accepted the job to "cleanse" the chemical weapons plant in episode 14. I had thought that maybe his job was to kill the other assasin, rather than all the chemists and technicians. I guess those guys were sorta bad for accepting employment in such a place, so it doesn't really taint Duke for doing them in. I think you would get a lot angrier at Duke for killing not altogether evil people if he clearly enjoyed it, but since he's almost totally unemotional you don't. Another surprise was when his opponent offered a showdown instead of shooting Duke in the back--not very professional! In fact, if you had asked me to predict how Duke would respond when he first met the other assasin, I'd have said he'll definitely kill him rightaway and complete the assignment by himself. Somehow, I thought the scene of the body lying in the surf was kinda cool. |
