Mai-Otome Zwei - 1: The Dream Continues

The various Otome from the different countries team up when a giant asteroid is detected on a collision course with thier planet. The Otome attempt to destroy the astroid, but a large chunk of it still remains, forcing Mashiro to active Arika's contract to alow her to use her full ability of Sapphire of the Azure Sky. As such, she is able to destroy the astroid as it is entering the planet's atmosphere. As she admires the planet beneath her, she is attacked by a mysterious humanoid shape.

Suddenly, she finds herself waking up in her room with Miss Maria wondering if it was a dream. It was not, but even though she is a Meister, she still has schooling to do within the castle and Miss Maria won't tollerate slacking off. As she runs her laps as punishiment, we hear her recite a letter to Nina-chan before coming to the castle gates, where she finds a large group of disgruntled workers camped out to the dismay of the staff within the castle walls.

Meanwhile at the site of a crater, Headmaster Natsuki and Shizuru discuss the current political situation while samples are being gathered. The director requests they check out one additional crash site while Mashiro ponders the current political situation. Arika is worried about it as well with so many people unhappy and she and Mashiro discuss it in various places.

At the final crash site, Shizuru notices that it very different from the previous sites. To her surprise, a petrified Miyu falls from the sky and issues a warning. Shizuru notices someone that looks like an Otome, but before she can react, she is attacked.

Taking a trip to the Black Valley (renamed to the Cat God Park), Mashiro consults with Mai about her and Arika's argument. Meanwhile Arika observes the experiments being done on the asteroid fragments. Natsuki come in wondering if they've heard from Shizuru, which none of them have. Back in the valley, something appears and its presence is felt by the "cat god" Mikoto but it appears to but her to sleep. A new Slave appears at the site, and this is noted by the research team, Arika, and Natsuki. Mai cannot waken Mikoto, so she activates her meister powers and heads into the frey while Arika and Natsuki arrive on scene.

As the battle against the Slave goes, it seems that nothing they can do will defeat it. Back at the home of the Otome, a shape looking somewhat like Miyu is at the gravesite, causing Miss Maria to activate her Otome powers to face the threat. Several shapes are there and appear to activate something within the grave site. The Otome revert to backup power as the primary system goes out. Meanwhile, Arika loses the ability of the Azure Sky. She and Mai defeat the Slave, but things begin to turn for the worse as the valley.
