Title: | NHK ni Youkoso! |
Episode: | 1893: Takimoto Tatsuhito Screams |
Synopsis | |
"The Scream" (Skrik, 1893) is a seminal series of expressionist paintings by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, depicting an agonized figure against a blood red skyline. Anyone who has watched a fair amount of anime cannot help noticing how often the painting is parodied in visual jokes.
For example, here is Takimoto Tatsuhiko (a shut-in who can't deal with people) being shocked by the sudden (daydream-induced) idea that his senpai and literature club president Kashiwa Hitomi is asking him to have sex with her despite him knowing she's about to marry her boyfriend (cliffhanger of episodes 21/22).
