| At the fashion school, George promises Hamada-sensei that with regard to the upcoming fashion show, "I'll do my best to meet your expectations". Miwako is nervous when she meets George, since she overheard him and "Caroline" (Yukari) having sex in Arashi's place. He reveals that Yukari will be staying with him from now on. Yukari awakens in George's luxurious apartment and finds a set of clothing which he has custom made for her. Nevertheless, she resolves that she must earn some money on her own. Arashi is in a bad mood; "when you've been together for 18 years" he tells Miwako, "you run out of things to say". Learning from her that "They did it on my bed?" doesn't particularly cheer him up. At the atelier, George tells Yukari it's okay if she doesn't work--then jokes about what she would need to do for his wealthy father. In contrast to Arashi, George is in high spirits. Back at his place, he gives Yukari a butterfly-shaped ring which he has handmade. She goes to bed alone, but finds herself asking "Won't you come soon, George?". She wonders if her mother has completely abandoned her, and if her one modelling job so far will lead to any more. The next day Caroline meets Mikako for lunch, and is told about a friend of Mikako's who has just started a modelling agency, and "definitely wants you". Mikako arranges a meeting, but cannot come along herself. She is impressed by the outfit George made; she expects he'll be her rival in the future. "A good wind is blowing" an encouraged Yukari tells herself; "Now I can fly as high as I want"... |
| Doing some "research" on other websites, I have learned that all of the principal characters are supposed to be 18 years old--I would have thought Miwako was under 18, Yukari and Arashi could be 18, and George and Isabella were over 18. Furthermore, in the original manga Isabella was a drag queen! There's been no mention of that here in the anime. The manga was no less than five volumes long, whereas the anime will be only a dozen or so episodes, which might explain why details such as Isabella's background have been dropped. |
