| The hunt for a major drug syndicate boss, "King Rex", has been fruitless so far and has left Batanen and the senior bounty hunters completely exhausted. Natsuki would secretly love to take part in these all-night stakeouts, but she and Sakura are routinely assigned to hunt minor criminals. After they take down a curiously shaped felon, they see the high-tech airbikes of the MAD Police Corporation chase a giant insect overhead. After a successful capture, MAD pilot Ms. Fonne taunts them about the "small timer" criminal they have managed to catch. Sakura resolves to capture countless criminals to prove Fonne wrong--except they won't all be reported to headquarters right away. Batanen, Kondo and Bobby find themselves in a shootout with King Rex's reptile thugs. The bad guys get away, and back at the company both Kondo and Sakura complain about the cheap ammo they've been issued, instead of genuine silver bullets--"Pure silver possesses a divine power for stopping evil". Batanen has a lead on King Rex's hideout, and needs everyone's help, including Natsuki and Sakura. "We'll go in at sundown, so get all the residents evacuated before then"... |
