Shindou and his little sister Saya were among the few survivors of a massacre that took over three hundred lives in a public housing complex. While the trauma of the event is part of the past, Shindou is troubled by repeated nightmares – dreams filled with images of monsters, blood and a red-haired woman with a sword. Now some five years later, Saya is working with local traffic police and Shindou has just become a rookie investigator for Tokki: The City’s Special Mobile Investigation Force. While investigating a number of bloody murders committed by a serial killer, Shindou and other members of the Tokki team are attacked by a group of possessed humans who cannot stopped with guns. It is only when a group of sword-wielding members of the elite Tokko division arrive and kill the monsters, does Shindou begin to wonder about his dreams and the truth behind massacre that took the lives of both of his parents. |
