After being murdered by a knife wielding lunatic, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated in some alternate world as a lowly Goblin named 'Gobrou'. He matures remarkably quickly, and retains his memories of being a human which he puts to good use. He learns that this world functions much like an MMORPG (of course) and if you level up enough you can 'evolve' into a higher lifeform. He allies himself with Gobkichi, the strongest Goblin in his tribe, and Gobmi, one of the few females. His intelligence and the things he can do with it amaze the other Goblins and he is acknowledged as their new leader, which makes him wonder just how high he can ascend. |

This is a severe blow to Rud, who had hoped to someday acquire the 'Secret Treasure of the Labyrinth', a wish-granting object which is the only concievable way of curing his sister Manicia of a severe disease. On his way home Rud meets Luna, a 'homunculous', who is able to identify exactly what skills he possesses. It turns out that what had seemed a liability to Kyglas is in fact an asset. |
