Here we have a premise that I recall seeing somewhere before: Lingzi thinks the Dragon is awesome and all-powerful, when in fact it would rather just be left alone. Actually, she has considerable magical powers while the dragon has none. And somehow she cannot concieve this actual state of things and continues to consider herself to be a loyal subordinate to the Dragon, which wishes she would just go away. It's not a completely fresh premise, but it was sort of amusing. Episodes seem to be around 12 minutes long. In episode two Dragon and Lingzi come upon a village that is under attack and she makes mincemeat of the attackers. I wonder how long this gag of her remaining oblivious to the fact that she is the awesome fighter, not Dragon, can last. Everyone seems to assume that a dragon would be a servant of the Demon Lord, either that or it has betrayed him. I hope dragon manages to make himself useful in the fight against the Demon Lord and deserve a little credit for his defeat, because the jokes alone are inadequate. In fact, the plot started feeling tiresome as well. I had a hard time remembering what had happened last time, and felt it wasn't worth the effort that would be required to keep track of events--and again, the episodes are only about half as long as the usual anime. And Lingzi's inexplicable naivete (to be generous) is annoying. Maybe I will save the episodes in case my interest ever revives, but I have stopped watching for now.
