In Japan there are seven young men and women of worldwide renown whose talents are so remarkable that one would not believe that they are in high school. They include the world's greatest inventor, Ohoshi Ringo, the world's top swordswoman, Ichijo Aoi, the world's top doctor, Kanzaki Keine, the world's top entrepreneur, Sanada Masato, the top magician, Prince Akatsuki, the top journalist (and a descendant of ninja), Sarutobi Shinobu, and the top politician (and teenage Japanese Prime Minister), Mikogami Tsukasa. The seven happen to be together on a plane which crashlands in the fantastical world of Freyjagard, which is inhabited by human-animal hybrids known as byuma.

(One episode watched):

I had modestly high hopes for a show that would presumably take a slightly different take on the old isekai formula by bringing high school prodigies to another world. Surely this would be played for laughs, I assumed. But no, while there are some so-so jokes, for the most part it would appear that we are supposed to take this seriously. These are not just the students who scored highest on tests, they are certifiable geniuses with virtually unlimited capabilities—like the inventor girl who modifies their cell phones to work in this new world (how would anyone survive without a cell phone?) and has brought a miniature nuclear reactor(!) along—energy isn't even that conveniently available in the real world. Anything is possible, apparently; who needs magic? The theme seems to be 'what if you could do whatever you pleased because you were in a land of ignorant, primitive people who were in awe of you?' I, however, could not take this seriously. It definitely didn't help that little or no effort was made to make the characters interesting. They have no personalities so far; their talents are all there is to them. PM Tsukasa's realization that he has been transported to another world seemed wooden and unconvincing. He accepts it as fact without considering any other possibilities, such as he might be dreaming. The first bad guys the seven encounter are 2D arrogant soldiers, out to extort and abuse their powers. If that's as sophisticated as the conflicts are going to be, count me out. The simple plot is explained to us in simple, straightforward manner, without any touches that we haven't seen elsewhere before, and as a result didn't excite me. It seemed like a children's show and was almost painful to watch. Halfway through I was already impatient to wrap this up. The legend that X number of chosen heroes will someday be brought to this world to save it sounded very tired. But this couldn't have been intended for children, because the first thing that is revealed to us, before a line of dialogue is spoken, is that the girls in this show have tremendous boobs, which bounce readily. This show ultimately joins a select few that I have reviewed: the ones that left me thinking that I could have done better myself.
