Font sizes are screwed

So I was on a friends computer and I was planning to check out what was new with mikomi, but when I got here, the site looked like this(this was the best I could get it, it was way more zoomed out at first). If I zoomed in, the text would start going out of the boxes and most of the fonts would stay the same size. I think it might be because he had an older version of IE, and I didn't want to waste time getting firefox for him. Was pretty weird stuff.

But I agree that CAR looks horrible in MSIE 8.0, the sidebar is unreadable for a zoom value below 150% (except for the "Best Bets" that have their own font size).
