The links on the current favourites list are not working. It seems that all the underscores are removed from the links. EG: http://anime.mikomi.org/series/2055/Cross Game.html. The titles with only 1 word are unaffected. And the message that appears has a typo (Your browser sent a request which this web server could not grok ^_o)

Yep!! There is a problem. The link below produces an error message.

Looks like when Rebecca did an upgrade last night, it took out anything that had spaces in it.

Somehow not even the "Search Titles" feature could connect me to Spirited Away By The Wolf/Ookami Kakushi. I could get to the list of similar titles, but not to the page itself. Fortunately, the title hadn't disappeared off the bottom of the "What's New" page, and that link still worked normally.

When you search for "Kakushi" then the very first result is the one you were looking for. You just have to use the link on the anime name which links to http://anime.mikomi.org/series/2234.html, not the one inside the synopsis part which links to http://anime.mikomi.org/series/2234/Spirited%20Away%20by%20the%20Wolf.html.

URLs in CAR aren't pointing to static content, they're invoking programs on Rebecca's server instead. Therefore this server can easily point to the same content via different URLs that invoke the same program. Rebecca used this to allow adding the series name within the link to an anime (which causes the current problem) but they didn't abolish the option of using the old URLs with the anime number only, and fortunately even uses those old links on the left side of the search results.

Unfortunately there is no alternative addressing scheme for Wiki pages, so those Wiki pages with a whitespace within their name appear to be out of reach for the time being...

I sent an email to Rebecca, hope they have time to look at it.

So, link-by-series-number works, but not link-by-series-name? And (at least in this case), alternate titles use the number route?

Thanks for your help, DD and Forbin.

I get back from my week-long marathon of Final Fantasy 13 and notice the grok message error.

I was kind of upset, but I see (by this forum) that the situation is already under control.

Good work as always....

Looking into this now... very odd... and yeah, I upgraded the server to Debian Lenny from Etch, so a lotta stuff changed out under the surface. Probably an Apache change...

Err, I have another problem: I cannot edit Screaming Anime Characters. I type new text, click on "Make Changes" (If I remember correctly this used to automatically put me in 'view' mode, now I have to click on 'view'), but the new image and text don't appear (I know that sometimes it takes awhile for this to happen). But I go back into edit mode and all of the new typing and links which I just added has disappeared. I've gone through the process twice with the same result each time. Could the server upgrade be responsible for this problem?

Stretch's problem is reproducible, and it's not limited to pages with a whitespace in their name. Unfortunately, the list of pages only shows the creation date for every page (and not the last modification date) so we can't see whether the page was actually modified on the server.

While testing this effect I happened to stumble over something else: Trying to edit the wiki page Wiki.html/Active Connections (the only one with a "/" in its page name) results in a "Page not found" error when redirecting to the result page "http://anime.mikomi.org/edit/wiki.html/Wiki.html%2FActive%20Connections".

Yeah, same problem that was hitting the Current Favorites. The "Wiki.html/Active connections" shouldn't exist anyway, but I'll fix up editing of it anyway.

Ok, editing of that page is fixed up-- problem was, %2F is not valid in a URI outside of the query string. So Apache rejects the entire request at the outset, not allowing any further processing.

I have got a major problem, Rebecca. I just tried to make some additions to Screaming Anime Characters (stuff which had accumulated while the wiki link was out of order), and after clicking 'make changes' I find that not only has the new stuff not been accepted, but all but four of the 30-odd images and captions that were already there have vanished. They are not only no longer displayed, but the programming language has disappeared from edit mode. Can you do anything about this?

For some reason the caption was cut off partway through the word 'scream' at the bottom--that doesn't make sense:

In Azumanga Daioh (TV), episode 6, Yukari-sensei is afraid of her class losing the relay race at the school festival (because she has bet money on the victory of her own class against her friend/rival teacher Minamo).

In these parodies, a character's eyes often go blank while screaming, even though the screa

The older version is in history buut... as you discovered, my band-aid on wiki editing has some annoying side effects. Ok, so for a little bit, hold off on editing large wiki pages.

Ok, that's fixed now too. I've also restored the crunched wiki page.

Thanks very much! So, is it OK for me to try to make the new additions again, or should I wait? 'cause I don't want to screw things up again.

Everything seems to be back to normal--indeed, even better than 'normal', because for a while changes wouldn't appear until a weekend, no matter when they were made, while now they appear instantly. Thanks again.
