Onemanga has announced that the recent changes in the manga publishers' "stance on manga scanlations" in which they are enforcing their digital rights and are requesting that titles be removed from fan sites has made online streaming fansub titles difficult and illegal.
According to their notice, all manga content will be gone from the OneManga site by early next week (end of July).

That sucks... The world of anime/manga seems to be on a deep spiral these days. It's not a good time for us at all.

Success breeds its own enemies...
It is one thing for a fangroup to scan, translate and release a popular foreign manga series to their friends and other fans.
Tis all together another thing for a web site to take their efforts, post them online in a streaming format and then gets listed as one of the top 1000 most popular websites in the US.
The success of foreign-language manga sites has spread to include US created/licensed manga/comic titles which in turn prompts the US government to take action.

Take heart guys. When one Manga door closes another Manga door opens. It is just the way economic times are doing these things. My ShoJO Beat Magazine quit publishing this year. I miss it but I found another magazine Yen plus. I feel other sites will show up. Have a great Friday. Yours, Violet D.
