Yep! They are releasing the episodes first as a PPV (pay-per-view) event and then as a single-episode OVA, which typically results in a 4-6week delay between each of the episodes.

Well, at least each episode is a 45min viewing event (equal to two TV episodes)

I guess it's fair to asssume that the 9th episode should be coming soon, right?

Humm.... those that assume make an ASS of both U and ME, but you are probably correct.

Episode 6 aired PPV on Aug 31 2009.
Episode 7 aired PPV on Sept 18 2009.
Episode 8 aired PPV on Oct 23 2009.
Episode 9 aired PPV on Nov 20 2009.
Episode 10 aired PPV on Dec 18 2009.

I don't know what the release delays for the OVA are.... sorry.

Guess what: at AnimeSuki episodes 1, 7 and 8 are listed today. These are the BD (whatever that means) XVID versions from Wasurenai & Himitsu.

BD (video format), meaning it's large files with Full HD resolution.

(Edit: See posting below, replacing guesses by facts.)

Man, these must have so much resolution that I'll bet you could be standing a mile away from your computer screen and yet make out every single pixel (joke).

Hm, I get it now. Wasurenai downscaled a Blu-Ray master (of 45 min per episode) to normal 704x396px, thus 380 MB per episode is your standard fansub quality and naming it "Blu-Ray version" is just nonsense.

The Wasurenai-Himitsu version is 1280x720px (720p) in H.264 with a file that's 50% larger, providing a decent volume-per-quality ratio as well and playable on PC with a fast CPU (dual core required I guess). "HD ready" TV sets can handle 1366x768px, i. e. slightly better than the 720p version, so playing this one from a PC connected to a "HD ready" TV set (or watching it on a PC with large monitor such as 23"/16:9) might be the suggested combination for this release.

Only the 1080p Hakubi release is the real Blu-Ray quality which makes sense only when watching on a Full HD screen. "HD ready" TV sets can display this by downscaling Full HD to 50% of its quality; some modern PC monitors do support native 1920x1080 already but I guess they're too small to make a real difference between 1280x720px and 1920x1080px.
