Synopsis
Right when Section 9 was about to arrest him, a man who apparently tried to blackmail the energy ministry dies in an accident. The only remaining clues are the business card of a newspaper reporter (whom the suspect gave overexposed piece of film the night before), some rare company symbol on his body prosthetis and - his engagement ring. While Togusa explores the suspect's past he joins forces with this man's fiancé to find out how the man was able to get a new body prosthesis without having to pay for it.
Comments
[2007-08-21, Devil Doll: 8/10] A good individual episode with interesting characters, a plausible story, a funny Tachikoma and a good dose of eerie "men in black" feeling, including the powerful last scene. Downgrades for the action scene where the "armored suits" act unnecessarily cautious while Togusa should know better than trying to make use of his minute handgun against these opponents.
